For many of us, any number of things were expected as part of the new President’s first month in office, including the first five Executive Orders, some of which impacted protections of the unborn and the public at large. And Democrats increased control of Congress will doubtfully lead to more and more spending that will help maintain the poverty status quo.
But many would never have expected to see a new effort on the part of Democrats to work their way around the First Amendment, which states:
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to

John McCain’s campaign prepared to accuse Democrats on Saturday of leaving behind 12,000 miniature American flags after Barack Obama’s nomination acceptance speech last Thursday in Denver.
Boy Scouts have arrived with 84 trash bags full of bundles of flags at the site of a McCain rally scheduled to begin at 12:30 p.m. local time in Colorado Springs.
The campaign says the flags were recovered from Invesco Field after the Democrats concluded their convention there, and they are going to be used as part of the warm-up ceremonies before McCain takes the stage for the rally.

Two big hits on prominant families this week.
One is Morgan Freeman. You may recall he was in an automobile accident earlier this week and was in serious condition. He was released later in the week after surgery with shoulder damage and a broken arm and elbow. According to Fox News, Freeman and his wife Myrna Colley-Lee have been separated since last December.
As far as I know, this was a huge surpise to most of the world. Of course, being in an accident with a lady friend in the car can lead to speculation, but I don’t anyone was ready to start accusing Freeman of infidelity. It seems she was a friend that had simply offered him a ride home.
I’m still getting caught up on things political. Like, Laura Ingraham is now doing a weekly show on Fox called “Just In”. I have yet to see it, but if you’re a fan of her radio program, I’m sure you’ll enjoy it.
Speaking of Laura’s radio show, evidently she’s in the middle of some kind of contract thing with her network. There’s a lot of squawking here and there (I got an email saying she’s being shut down). However, Laura says everything is okay, and she’ll be back on the radio soon enough. Sit tight folks.
