With all due respect, what a bunch of half truths and not too subtle inuendo. What is wrong with, instead of the same old partisan character assassination crap, just coming out and saying just how the Republican party intends to fix the problems displayed in this video? People are tired of the same old partisan hype crap, they want someone with a good idea that can then get that idea turned into legislation; its just as simple as that. Yes the budget deficit is astronomical, but it is truly of bipartisan construction, since Clinton left office with s balanced budget and a healthy surplus. Then “W” came along, cutting taxes and cutting the final strands of regulations that may have offered at least a little warning that the bubble was going to burst. What Americans want to know are ideas, and they want conversation with the people who are standing for whatever office they may be, without all the usual good party, bad party hoohaw that seems to be the bulk of the standard John Bohner (I did not misspell john’s name intentionally, so my apologies) stump speech. All you need to do is to take a close look at the Tea Party people. I may not agree with a lot of their ideas, but they are rising from and then conversing with the people and then explaining to those people what they intend to do if elected. I would dearly love it if, when the Tea Party candidates that get elected, they then caucused as independents rather than being affiliated with either main party. Maybe then the Republicans and Democracts would be able to learn how to govern fairly and effectively according to the needs of the people instead of the needs of Wall Street and Madison Avenue.
Yes, people are suffering, but this video unfairly targets a government that is picking up after an unregulated banking system pushed our country into a ditch. The debt came from saving Wall Street, ON TOP of the war debt – a war we went to based on lies and self interest –people lost their lifes savings and THIS government is left to fix it and doing it in 18 months is unrealistic. The video is so incredibly cynical and dire …. and doesn’t offer what that smaller government will do to help. Drink tea?
