Tim Russert appeared to hold the upper hand with Paul, although I only got to see part of the program this morning.  I was surprised at how unprepared Paul appeared to be, or if he was prepared, how silly his position is on some of the questions.  The fact that his reaction to questions that he needs to answer was dismissive tells me how out of touch he is with the real world.  The transcript is available at this link: <a href=”http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/22342301/. “>www.msnbc.msn.com/id/22342301/.  Other information and links and (apparently) the entire broadcast are available at <a href=”http://www.mtp.msnbc.com/. “>www.mtp.msnbc.com/.  My favorite question, however, he answered just as smoothly as Condie Rice did about running for president… Russert asked if he would run as an independent if he did not receive the Republican nomination.  “No intention” was the best Paul could come up with.

DavidL at Bitsblog also picked up some comments from Jeff Freeland of National Ledger.
