The wife and I finally got time to see Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed.
We were aghast.
Dr. Bob Stouffer did a great job reflecting on this movie . But it still did not prepare me for what I witnessed.
It was haunting.
There were three things that impressed themselves upon me.
First, that in the world of Academia the idea of an open exchange of ideas would be so profoundly suppressed without any guilt, without any hesitation, either because of the agenda of a mind washed majority or because of the power of those who have significant financial resources. Higher Education has always been held up as the great open learning environment because ideas and paths of research were not shackled. I’ve lost that dream now, at least on the larger scale. I hope to soon see a list of schools willing to open themselves up to ideas that challenge the status quo. I’m confident that Grove City College in Pennsylvania is one that would be on that list. And I hope that The Conservative Reader provides a similar, albeit less prominent forum.
Second, that people, such as those that are fully convinced that there is no God and no plan for humankind (and therefore, no hope either), can so blithely look down on the faith and lives of those that put their hope in God as if they were in deviant, distracted, detached and unproductive state of existence. Those that put their entire universe-view in Darwin or something akin to Darwin seem to have a hope that the Churches will eventually be treated as nothing more than social clubs (a situation that all too often already happens) and eventually die off. They may not know it, but they hope in chaos, anarchy, and social devastation. I’m sure they pity me, but I also pity them. They have a life with no purpose than to act on behalf of one they do not believe in (not God, but the Enemy of God) who seeks to destroy men… and is succeeding with such as these. And they believe they stand in the superior position.
Thirdly, that in their quest to deny the existence of God, some would oppose the idea of Intelligent Design (by reading it as “Yahweh Design”) and yet when challenged on the topic of “how” are dimwitted (sorry, I can’t think of any other way to say it) enough to suggest that space aliens may have provided a designed seeding of Earth, and yes, go so far as to say that the signature of such an alien designer can be clearly seen … really. Clearly not stating that man came about by accident, but by the design of an intelligent space alien, but not Intelligent Design. On camera, completely demonstrating the true mission of Darwinists… to formulate an explanation that can adequately deny the existence of God.
And pursue a mission of manipulating our society, generation by generation, until all signs of belief in a creating God are evolved out (that’s social engineering).
Ben Stein put together a marvelous movie. If you still have a chance to see it, please go out now and see it before it leaves the theaters.
Keep an eye out here in a few months… once this movie is on DVD, we will let you know and perhaps have a few to give away.
And, if you disagree with anything I’ve said, you are welcome to share your thoughts here without reprisal or attacks of any kind.
